This card gives us a great view of Orillia's industrial area in the 1950s.
The Otaco factory is seen on the bottom right, and just above, across West Street, the front of the Dorr-Oliver-Long plant is visible. Following the railway line from the bottom, on the left, or north side of the tracks, is Fahralloy Canada Ltd. At the corner of West Street is Canada Electric Castings. Across West Street is Beaver Lumber and then the C.N.R. freight office with several boxcars parked in front. Vollans Industries, located at the bottom of Andrew Street, is the first building on the south side of the tracks.
